Bus Information from September 2024

Stagecoach are making changes to many of their services from 1st September 2024. Full details of the changes and the new timetables will be available on their website shortly: Stagecoachbus.com
Details of changes are shown in numeric order with lettered services first.
All buses are now tracked throughout their journey. This data is used to review the reliability of services and make minor changes to the timetable to address any punctuality issues. Some services have been subject to minor punctuality changes. For the sake of keeping this email concise, these changes have not been listed.
The main changes are as follows.
Teignbridge
6A Exeter – Tedburn St Mary – Whiddon Down – Okehampton
Stagecoach has given notice on the contract that provided additional journeys between Okehampton and Exeter, funded by the Bus Service Improvement Plan grant from the Department for Transport. Having reviewed the costs of a new contract and the low number of passengers using these journeys, it is unfortunately not possible to continue them.
- The 0730, 1105 and 1405 journeys from Exeter to Okehampton are withdrawn
- The 1230 and 1530 Okehampton to Exeter journeys are withdrawn.
- The 0640 Okehampton to Exeter Saturday journey is withdrawn.
- The 0847 Whiddon Down – Okehampton Saturday journey is withdrawn.
- The 1705 Exeter – Okehampton journey is withdrawn on Saturdays.
- An additional journey at 1305 from Exeter to Okehampton is introduced.
- The 0930 Okehampton to Exeter will start from West Street instead of the Bus Station.
- Route to the City Centre is revised to use the new bus lane next to John Lewis and Sidwell Street instead of Longbrook Street and York Road, with the timetable revised to reflect this.
7 Exeter – Kingsteignton – Newton Abbot – Totnes
- The 0741 Newton Abbot to Totnes is withdrawn.
- The 1845 Exeter to Totnes journey will terminate at Newton Abbot.
- The 1830 Newton Abbot to Matford Park and Ride journey is withdrawn.
- The 1915 Totnes to Matford Park and Ride journey will terminate at Newton Abbot.
- The 1942 Monday to Friday/1940 Saturday journey from Totnes to Matford Park and Ride will terminate at Newton Abbot and will operate later departing at 2000.
- The 2040 Totnes to Newton Abbot journey will be revised to depart later at 2100.
- The 2140 journey from Totnes to Newton Abbot will be withdrawn.
- Journeys from Exeter to Totnes will now terminate at Coronation Road, Totnes to improve connections with Service 92 to Dartmouth.
12 Newton Abbot – Torquay – Paignton - Brixham
- Monday – Saturday daytime frequency increased to every 12 minutes.
53 Kingsteignton – Newton Abbot - Torbay Hospital – The Willows
- Most journeys will now serve Torbay Hospital before The Willows
360 Christow – Bridford – Dunchideock – Ide – Exeter
- All journeys will serve Christow before Bridford in clockwise loop
- The timetable is revised because of this change.
